You read that right, this dress has pockets! This long sleeve midi dress features a West Coast Salmon design by Joshua Watts.
Salmon are sacred amongst the people of the northwest coast. Long ago when the salmon stopped returning up the rivers of their birth, there was a great and terrible famine. They only return to this day under an agreement made long ago between the salmon people and our ancestors. They agreed to return the bones of the salmon to the river so they can return home after being eaten. To this day we honor this tradition by having a first salmon ceremony every year when the salmon return.
