Every Child Matters Orange Hoodie
This design honours residential school Survivors, their families, and the children who never came home.
At the centre, the faces represent the many emotions carried through this history: grief for those who suffered and were lost, alongside love, strength, and gratitude for those who survived and carried our families, cultures, and generations forward.
Surrounding them is the Thunderbird, representing our connection to our land, our Creator, and our ancient history. It speaks to the teachings and gifts passed down to us by our ancestors, and to the cultural and spiritual connections that residential schools attempted, but failed, to take away.
We wear orange to remember those we lost, to honour those who survived, and to recognize the generations who continue because of their strength.
